This delightful book is written by Cheryl C. Malandrinos and illustrated by Jack Foster.
The book is fantastic as not only will the bright illustrations appeal to children
but it also has a moral – it teaches children how to stand up to bullies. With the help from an older friend, plus the belief that God will protect him Amos faces up to his bullies and the bullying stops.
The text is printed clearly so early readers should be able to attempt to read for themselves.
It is recommended for ages 4-8 years but I feel that younger children will enjoy having the story read to them by an adult.
Amos faces his bullies is published by Guardian angel publishing.inc and retails at $10.95 USA.
I would recommend this book to parents to read with their children if they feel that they may have an issue with bullying because it may help to solve the problem by giving them the confidence to stand up for themselves. As the book has a religious vibe it would be particularly useful for Sunday schools and other children’s church groups .
Disclosure:I was gifted this book for the purpose of the review but all opinions are my own.

Until next time

Brilliant , what a good topic for a child’s story book. School bullies are quite terrifying .
Thanks, Pearl. I agree…bullies can be terrifying.
A good topic to teach via a book. I’m not sure my 3 year old would understand the concept but it might be a nice read anyway. #familyfun
Glad you feel that way, Laura. Hopefully a child that age is not bullied…though no child should ever have to deal with bullying.
I love stories like this. Now my daughter is learning to read, i feel stories like this get into her head more than if i read it. We have had plenty of books to teach life lessons. Great Review. #LGRTStumble
Isn’t it fun when our kids learn to read? I hope your daughter continues to enjoy it.
Love children’s books with a story behind it and that educate kids #globalblogging
Thanks for your nice comment. I hope my books continue to do that.
Are your books available in South Africa?
you can buy on line, so yes
Love the concept. I imagine kids struggle with bullying at this age. They struggle with all the emotions so having books to help is always a bonus! Thank you for linking up to the #familyfunlinky
Glad you like the idea behind this story. What a great world we will live in when kids no longer need to worry about being bullied.
Great review! Love books that give moral lessons. #lgrtstumble

Such an important topic for children to learn about. We have a similar book called the bully and the shrimp which I’d recommend also. Thanks for joining in with #That Friday Linky
What a creative way of getting the message of standing up to bullies across. Love these illustrations! #globalblogging
Great review Thank you for linking to #Thatfridaylinky please come back next week
I’m not religious so it’s not something I would choose to read to my son, but I think the message about teaching children about bullies is an important one and this will no doubt appeal to a lot of people. Thanks for joining us at #TriumphantTales, hope you’ll come back again on Tuesday!
An important subject to talk about, but I must admit the religious side of it wouldn’t do it for me or my family.

Sounds like a fab book! Great review, thanks for sharing with #fortheloveofBLOG
Looks like a great book. Bullying is such a problem nowadays. It is so sad and frustrating. I like that they connected it to a Bible story as well
I wanted to thank you for stopping by Tots and Me and sharing. I do wonder if you meant to link this up with Littles Learning Link Up as opposed to the Wordless Wednesday linky where I found it? Feel free to stop by and delete it from the one and add it to the other. It is from the Littles Learning Link Up that I choose featured posts each week. Blessings
