Review of Animal alphabet books

Tiny tree have kindly sent these books for me to review.

Dash the dolphin, Frank the flamingo and Esme the elephant are the latest 3 books in this instalment. All three are written by Kaley Owen and Graeme Holding has drawn the bright, fun illustrations, the books are written in rhyme which regular readers of my blog will know are my absolute favourite thing in children’s literature, as this really helps to keep a child’s attention and also lets them predict the next word giving confidence.

Dash the dolphin

Dash likes to help other creatures in the ocean. The book explains a little about dolphins therefore it could be an asset to early years settings as a way of introducing children to the understanding of the world early learning goal.

Frank the flamingo

tells the story of a bird who not only loves to dance but also takes pleasure in teaching others, which is a great attitude for children to follow.

Esme the elephant

Esme saves the other animals when the jungle catches fire, again this book has some educational value as it explains simply how an elephant uses it’s trunk.

I would recommend these books to parents to read to their children as they have a real feel good factor about them, so that children will enjoy listening to them over and over again.

All 3 books have colourful illustrations that children and the adults reading to them will appreciate.

Animal alphabet books are published by Tiny tree children’ books and retail at £4.99 each, they are recommended for ages 0-5 years.

Disclosure: I was gifted the books for the purpose of the review but all opinions are my own.

As always questions/comments are welcome and please share on social media.

Until next time

Karen

  3. Hi Karen, these books look beautifully illustrated. Fun stories with an underlying message is the best way to teach children. There is so much room for conversation that will make children think.
