What I like most

This hardback children’s book is written by Mary Murphy.

The bright, colourful illustrations drawn by Zhu Chebn-Liang make it really appealing.

The book is a delight and tells the story of a little girl and what she likes most; as is usual with young children, she keeps changing her mind and each page shows something different that she likes the most. Eventually she decides what she really, really likes the most!

The book is published by Walker books and retails at £12.99.

The age recommendation is 3 years plus, because the text is written clearly and not too long on each page; early readers could attempt having a read themselves.

Disclosure I was sent the book for the purpose of this review but all opinions are my own.

I love this book which has a real feel good factor and know that children will want it read to them time and time again. making it good value for money.

As a former early years practitioner I would have used  the tale as a tool  for encouraging children to get creative and draw what they like most( for the expressive arts and design early learning goal) and then developing language skills by talking about what they have drawn (communication and language early learning goal).

The book can be purchased here:

As always questions and comments, which I love to read, are welcome.

Until next time.

  1. Thanks for the introduction to What I like MOst. Could be a good read for one of my nephews. They’re about the right age. Headed over from #thatfridaylinky

  2. This looks like a lovely book to help children verbalise their feelings and opinions, and raise awareness that these change over time. Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging

  3. It looks like a lovely book and perfect for my daughters because they are constantly changing their minds about what they like most! #KCACOLS

  4. I also reviewed this book a while back because it’s so lovely! I love that it opens conversations to similarities and differences – my kids are often talking about how “this is my favourite, but you like this one and that’s cool too”! Such an important message! Thanks for linking up with #KLTR
