Adult colouring (great for older children too)

I discovered adult colouring after suffering a stroke which left me disabled.

My sister brought me a book as a gift:-

This particular book The Menagerie, animal portraits is great for me as each individual page can be torn out (via perforations) as I only have one working hand being able to remove the page that I am working on from the rest of the book makes it much easier.

When I mentioned to my mum that I was enjoying adult colouring, she asked what it was that I was colouring. I think she had visions of x rated pictures!

Colouring not only helps to fill my time, I also find it relaxing and therapeutic.

Now that we are all coping with the lock down my adult colouring book has surfaced again, it could also be used as a form of stress relief to parents and grandparents. When I was working as a registered child minder the older children in my care liked the more intricate patterns that adult colouring books offer, so sit down with your children and enjoy the artwork together.

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.
