I discovered adult colouring after suffering a stroke which left me disabled.
My sister brought me a book as a gift:-
This particular book The Menagerie, animal portraits is great for me as each individual page can be torn out (via perforations) as I only have one working hand being able to remove the page that I am working on from the rest of the book makes it much easier.
When I mentioned to my mum that I was enjoying adult colouring, she asked what it was that I was colouring. I think she had visions of x rated pictures!
Colouring not only helps to fill my time, I also find it relaxing and therapeutic.
Now that we are all coping with the lock down my adult colouring book has surfaced again, it could also be used as a form of stress relief to parents and grandparents. When I was working as a registered child minder the older children in my care liked the more intricate patterns that adult colouring books offer, so sit down with your children and enjoy the artwork together.
As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.

Thanks Britt
I love coloring for adults and older kids. That’s why I included a coloring/activity book in my history nonfiction series. Here is the link, If you would like to check it out. https://www.amazon.com/Little-Miss-HISTORY-COLORING-BOOK/dp/0988503
I would like to try this as a hobby, in fact after reading your blog I will definitely buy a book when I am able to go shopping again “
That’s great you can order a book on line if you want to start colouring during the lockdown, Pearl
It can be so relaxing and there are so many great adult colouring books now. I love to get one out when the kids are colouring and join in #KCACOLS
when out teenager was going through a rough period several years ago somebody mentioned trying coloring and after some initial reluctance she found it to be very therapeutic #anythinggoes
I’m kind of sad that I don’t like to color, because these books are wonderful, but even as a child, I had limited tolerance for coloring.
I invested in a colouring book and pencils a week or so ago and need to actually do some #StayClassyMama
These books look great! #KCACOLS

Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time.
