At the very beginning of the book, which has a bright front cover there is a useful explanation for parents and carers to make the most of the book.

Inside there is an animal for every letter of the alphabet and underneath is the animal’s name that children can be encouraged to read and try to copy, leading to the beginning of writing skills and mark making.

There is also enough room on every page for children to add to the pictures; by drawing flowers, trees and other animals, encouraging imagination development.

At the end of the animal pages there is a clever practice time page where children can copy each alphabet letter:- which will develop hand-to-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills as well as gaining control over writing instruments; a pen or pencil.

Other benefits that this book provides to children are building communication and language skills and creative and imaginary skills, plus child led play.

I am recommending this colouring book because of the numerous benefits it offers to children aged 3 to 7 years ( which is the age recommendation).
