I was contacted by Ventorros Press to ask if I would review some of their children’ sbooks:.
Billy Plonka and the grot laboratory being the first.
This book is aimed at children aged 7-12 years of age.
It is a chapter book with 22 chapters, that are just long enough to hold a child’s attention and 171 pages, printed on paper of a good quality.
The text is full of descriptive sentences that children will enjoy
This book is quite different from the run-of-the-mill children’s books and may encourage reluctant readers to have a go at reading to find out what happens next, that’s one of the reasons why I am recommending it.
Billy Plonka and the grot laboratory is written and illustrated by Ian Billings.
Throughout the book there are black and white sketched illustrations, that bring the characters to life.
Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.
The book retails at £6.99
But it here
As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.

What a great title! My wife is a huge fan of Willy Wonka film so no doubt when my boy is a little older we will be reading this book.
