What is circle time? I hear you ask.
Circle time gives children in schools and early years setting the opportunity to sit together ( usually in a circle) and take time to talk, listen and interact with each other and their practitioners.
During circle, or group time, as it is sometimes called, children can sing
my favourite children’s songs here
Or to get the children moving use the time to have a keep fit session- jumping or hopping on the spot, or singing action songs more here
Listen to a story

When I was at school as part of my childcare and development lessons , I was sent to a pre-school as a work experience whilst helping out I was asked to take a circle time activity with about 6 children; as we had just had Christmas, I let each child tell me what they had received for Christmas. I managed to get every child to have their say then sit quietly while we listened to their peers.
This was very sucessful, if I do say so myself!
Please share your circle time activities and expereiences with me.
As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.

Ahhh circle time! I remember that being for drinking our milk and listening to the teacher read a story when I was little. A fab time to regroup and settle the little ones. Thank you for joining us for the #DreamTeam x
Circle time is very important at our infant school for addressing big topics in a safe and open way. Thanks for linking up with #DreamTeam
That’s great, Laura, thanks for sharing with me
