Regular readers will know that I am a fan of ichild: this is a selection of their activities for Easter and spring:-
INTO THE WOODS:
Is a printout of a woodland scene, then another download produces woodland characters for children to cut out and stick onto their woodland picture.
THE BLUEBELL;
Not only introduces a poem by Emily Bronte, it also cleverly includes some hand writing practice.
SPRING WORD SEARCH:
Has 12 related words for children to find. Early years practitioners could discuss the words with children making it educational as well as fun.
SPRING COLOUR AND COUNT:
Is what ‘it says on the tin.’
CHICK EASTER BASKET:
This is my favourite activity; there is a basket to make using 2 downloads for children to use their imagination and creative skills to decorate and colour.
EASTER CROSSWORD:
Has the answers at the bottom of the page, should they be needed.
My granddaughter, Katlyn, aged 8 enjoys all of the ichild activities that I send her. This is one of the reasons that I highly recommend ichild for ideas to keep children entertained. I wish that ichild had been around when I was working as a registered child minder.
Many of the activities can be downloaded for free here
As always questions/ comments are welcome.
Until next time.
Karen
