When covid19 first arrived and we went into lockdown; I decided to write this book, as a way to fill my time and to hopefully help parents and carers through this difficult time.
.
As a parent to 4 boys and a former registered child minder for 14 years I have lots of experience in finding things to occupy children of various ages.
One of the simplest ideas that I have shared in the book is to supply a bucket of water and a large paintbrush and tell the child to ‘paint’ a wall or fence: When the surface gets wet it changes colour- giving the effect that it has been painted. Plus there is no clearing up to be done when the child has finished; if clothes are wet they will dry and the water can simply be thrown onto the harden.
Other activities are playdough, which can be made at home from store cupboard essentials.
, Several different ways to use paint and a treasure basket for younger children/babies.
My book is available to download from Amazon for only 999p

As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.

That painting the wall is genius!! We used to paint boxes on the lawn. THe bigger the better. It was ti make trains or other giant items, but it didn’t really matter. It was the painting something big that was the fun. But it did get very messy and the kids needed a shower afterwards…#Dreamteam
Painting boxes on the lawn sounds great too, Lydia, thanks for sharing
Well done you for writing a book! That’s such a great achievement. We love your crafts and activity ideas. There’s something very comforting about really tried and tested things to do. Thank you for sharing this with the #DreamTeam xx
