Ellie the crocodile goes to gymnastics; children’s book review

This book has a bright, cheerful front cover.

Ellie is a shy creature who is lacking in self confidence, so how will she cope when a friend suggests that they go to gymnastics?

With some gentle encouragement from her friends, Ellie tries all the equipment and eventually enjoys herself so much that she can’t wait to go to gymnastics again!

The book which could be a useful tool for helping children to be brave and step out of their comfort zone is written by Emily Bardwell and the bright, colourful illustrations on every page are by Helen Hill.

The book provides opportunities for children to develop communication and language skills and because the text is printed clearly and large enough early readers could attempt to read it for themselves( or by having an adult prompt on ;any difficult words).

Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.

Ellie the crocodile goes to gymnastics is aimed at children aged 2 to 6 years old and retails at £6.25.

I am highly recommending this book to everyone.
