Each of the 6 books follow a year in the different species of the he birds lives, with a month by month account of what the birds do: from surviving the cold winter months ,finding a mate, nest building, laying eggs and raising the chicks.

Along with these fasinating facts are some stunning illustrations.

At the back of each book is a guide to reading the books, suporting phonics and early readers.

I absolutely love everything about these books, as an adult who loves to feed and observe the garden birds myself. I learned some interesting facts that I wasn’t aware of before reading the set, so I know that children will adore and be educated by the set too!
