Half term activities

The February school half term can sometimes be tricky for parents and carers to think of activities for keeping children entertained and happy; because it is still winter and the weather may not be favourable for doing anything outside.

However, if we are lucky enough to get some dry, bright days, then why not wrap up in warm clothes and go outside for a walk to the park or cycle ride?

Taking the children to the library is usually time well spent, as not only does it give everyone a chance to pick up some great books , libraries often put on activities for children that cost very little or are even free more on the benefits of the library here.

If you really want to stay at home in the warm junk modelling is always popular with children as is playing with gloop here

I have written a book full pf easy crafts and activities to do at home which parents and carers may find helpful more here

Happy half term to everyone.

aAs always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.

    1. I loved them too, Lydia, when mine were young and when I was working as a registered child minder and the school aged children came back

  1. What a fab idea to collate all your activity ideas into a book! I remember the library being a fantastic place to hang out in over the holidays. They often have loads of events on, and sometimes even author events too 😁 Thank you for joining us for the #DreamTeam x

    1. I put the book together over lockdown, Annette as a way to fill my time and to help parents and carers keep their children entertained during those difficult times

  2. You are right that the colder weather makes the Feb half term tricky. This year there were already some signs of spring which were fun to seek out. Thanks for linking up with #DreamTeam
