Healing after pet loss; a love that never fades: book review

When I lost my beloved German shepherd dog, Keira, my heart was broken. So when I came across this book on social media, I was intrigued to learn more about healing after pet loss The book has a lovely front cover of a dog with it’s human family.

In 9 chapters, over 134 pages there are some beautiful watercolour illustrations: Loads of helpful tips for healing:- including creative activities, such as cooking ,writing a journal, or starting a new hobby to keep the grievers mind occupied and links to other support group hotlines.

There are some lovely stories from other families who share their experiences of pet loss.

I particularly like the idea of keeping a rainbow bridge diary( which I feel would be really beneficial to children).

): When we lost Keira and buried her in the garden, my son, Adam, like the rest of the family were devastated. Adam went into the garden every night in his pyjamas to say ” Goodnight, Keira.” before he could settle down to sleep: This book would have brought him and the rest of us some comfort; of that I’m sure.

Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.

A love that never fades is written and illustrated by Dana Lee.

It retails at £11.56 and is aimed at adults, but as I have already mentioned a few times, it would be a great resource for children of all ages too.

I can’t speak highly enough about this book therefore I am recommending it for anyone who has a pet in their life.

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time
