SNOWMAN PAPER CHAIN:

:

A simple way to make a lovely Christmas decoration.

There is a snowman template complete with accessories ( facial features and clothes) to download a or if they are creative children can draw their own snowman then it’s just a case of folding a concertina and cutting out- a good opportunity to master cutting skills using scissors.

ANGEL MASK:

Simply get children to colour the mask, stick onto card and cut out the eyes; what could be more simple?

FATHER CHRISTMAS PAPER CHAIN:

A similar craft to the snowman above, with the option of using the ready coloured or blank Santa template for children to decorate themselves; using cotton wool for the beard, if desired. Younger children could just mark make over their father Christmas and older ones can get more creative; making this a great activity for practitioners with a number of children of different ages, such as child minders.

MAKE AN ADVENT CALANDER:

This is suitable for older children and probably a bit late for this year but could be kept in mind for next year or made now and kept back to open next advent.

The download explains how to make a unique advent colander.

All of these crafts and lots more are available to download from https://www.ichild.co.uk/

As always questions, comments and topic suggestions are welcome.

Until next time.

  2. Some Santa bunting would be a great addition to our front room and it might keep the kids busy for a while making it up, sounds good to me. #KCACOLS
