This is the authors first children’s book ( and the first of the Lavender maze series).
.
The book is full of descriptive words that really take you into the story.
At the beginning of the tale is a map showing the reader exactly where the story characters are going.
At the beginning of each chapter is a cute black and white image.
.
Throughout the text certain words are written in bold, then at the end there is a glossary explaining what these words mean.
I particularly like this element of the book because it could help children to make their own writing more descriptive and exciting.
.
Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.
The book has 87 pages over 5 chapters with clear text: Making it just the right length to encourage reluctant readers to gain an interest in literature.
Kiki and the Lost Leprechaun is written by Mic5helle Burke.
It retails at £6.99 and is aimed at children aged 5to 9 years.
I absolutly love this book and really enjoyed reading it, so I know that children will love it too.

Until next time.

It is a lovely book, thanks for stopping by, Paula
Great to include a glossary, but I think the bold words would annoy me! Thanks for sharing with #PoCoLO
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Stephanie
