More Christmas crafts for children

When I was a registered child minder I was always on the lookout for activities for the children; Christmas was my favourite time for providing crafts for them to do:-

There are some new downloads available from ichild:

The star gives children a chance to practice their cutting skills.

It is beautiful as it is , children could add glitter, making it even more special. I would encourage sticking it onto card to make their own Christmas card, or even as a decoration for the top of the tree, adding a ribbon loop and you have a Christmas tree decoration.

The Christmas tree download is another opportunity to get those scissors out.

This design is a bit more intricate, so would be better suited for slightly older children, again more sparkle could be added and used to make Christmas cards and tree decorations.

How often have the children started to do a jigsaw puzzle to discover that there are some pieces missing?

Rather than throwing the puzzle away, use it to make these great Christmas crafts that I came across on the internet, other than spare jigsaw pieces. paint, glue and some imagination is all that is needed.

Jigsaw puzzles can also be purchased from charity shops or car boot sales for a few pounds.

ichild have other activities and crafts available to download, many are free, plus for a small joining fee you can acess even more.

Find them herehttp://www.ichild.co.uk

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.
