I was sent this wondeful children’s book for review.
Anyone who likes unicorn’s ( and let’s face it who doesn’t?) will love this book.
It is full of bright, colourful illustrations and the text is super educational for children: Explaining about different people; their many colours of skin, varying religions and how they all get along together. There is even a mention to black lives matter, which I particularly like.
The book is written by a mother and daughter together who during the lockdown decided to do this to help with home schooling, to fill their time and as a way to celebrate the diverse community they live in.
The authors are Sally and Maddie(6) Penni and the illustrator is Lisa Williams.
Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.
I highly recommend this beautiful book to everyone, not least because it celebrates love, kindness and multiculturalism.
I would have made great use of it when I was working as a registered child minder and my Ofsted inspector would have been impressed to see it on my playroom book shelf.
Rosie and the unicorn is aimed at children aged 3-11 years, but I feel that it is suitable for a wider age range, including adults, like myself. Who will all benefit from reading it.
It retails at £7.99 and is available from Amazon here
All profits from the sale of the book are being donated to the N.H.S. and other charities.
As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.

How wonderful to turn lockdown into such a positive venture. Even better when this lovely book was written by a mother and her six year old daughter. The (icing on the cake ) is just that they are giving all the profits from the sales to the NHS and other Charities.Just amazing !!

I love that it has a child as co-author and they have made the most of lockdown to spend time together on a joint project. Love the illustrations and my daughter would adore the topic of unicorns. Thanks for linking up with #dreamteamlinky
