Summer crafts for children

This is just a small selection of the summer crafts and activities available from ichild:-

CREATE A MINIATURE GARDEN;

A great idea for helping young children to gain some understanding of the world;

All that is needed are a shallow container, soil and some small plants, then use your imagination to help your child to create their own miniature garden (you could make a pth using gravel or small pebbles, or a rockery).

PAPER PLATE BUTTERFLY;

As it says ‘on the tin’ you will need a paper plate for this craft; then make the butterfly using the downloads, or by creating your own design.

BUTTERFLY MASK;

I was sent a blue and a pink version of the mask that only needs to be stuck onto catd and cut out eye holes , add elastic and hey-presto your child has a great summer themed mask to wear.

All of these crafts and many more can be downloaded from ichild here

Both parents and practitioners’ would benefit from using the resources that ichild offers.

As always questions and comments are very welcome.

Until next time.

  1. We’ve done paper plate butterflies a couple of times before and they’re always fun to make. I might have to try the miniature garden with the children some time though. #MischiefandMemories

  2. So cute! I love the paper plate butterflies. We have to do a recycled craft project for school this week. Maybe we could make them out of a cereal box and make it into a headband as it has to be made into clothing 🙂 #MischiefAndMemories

  3. I like shadow drawing in the summer, so quick and simple and a fun craft. I need to buy some paper plates as they are useful for so many crafts and these butterflies look great. Thanks for linking up with #MischiefAndMemories
