I was sent he following books to review:
SPRING TIME;
This sweet book is full of the wonders of spring time.
The old oak tree which stands manifestly in the wood is home to lots of fairies.
The great thing about the fairies in this book is that they are not all female, small, white and slim.
My favourite fairy is Marigold who is rather large.
There are also mixed race fairies and a wheelchair user too.
The book explains what happens in spring time. For example, flowers coming into bloom and animals waking up from hibernation.
The hedgehog family are finding it difficult to find food, can the fairies help?
Throughout the book there are wonderful illustrations that children could be asked to look for, ( a ladybird, woodlouse and butterflies).
This would also help children with earning about colour recognition.
AUTUMN TIME;
Once again this book is about the fairies who live in the old oak tree.
The story explains what happens during the autumn time of year, before winter comes along.
Working as a team the fairies help the animals living in the wood to prepare for the colder months ahead,
Again the characters in the book are of different ethnic minorities.
Disclosure: I was gifted the books for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.
The books are written by Louise A Shaw and the vibrant illustrations are by Sarah-Leigh Wills.
At the back of each book are some fun activity suggestions for parents to do with their children.
They retail at £6.99 each and are aimed at children aged 0-6 years.
I am highly recommending these books to parents and carers because they have some educational content, as well as characters who could help children of different sizes, hair and skin colour to feel good about themselves.

As always questions and comments are welcome.
