This paperback children’s book is a take on some favourite fairy tale characters.
Alison Paige, the author, has written the story in a way that will appeal to children; it is quite humorous in places and the text is rhyming in others.
Paddy Donnelly has illustrated the book beautifully.
The tale of Mrs M’Grady is published by Tiny tree children’s books and retails at £6.99. It is recommended for age 5-7 years upwards.
Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of the review but all opinions are my own.
As this book is different from the usual children’s fairy tale, it might encourage children who are reluctant to read or listen to a story want to do so.
