Walking with dad: A children’s book review

April 3, 2023 Karen 6 comments

This hardback children’s book is ‘what it says on the tin’ it describes in rhyming text the memories that young children make while walking with their dad: From picking blackberries to watching wild rabbits flocking the rhyming text ( which ia my absolute favourite in children’s literature) and colourful illustrations bring the book alive.

Walking with dad is written by Andrew A bel and Graeme Holding has illustrated it beautifully.

Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.

The book retails at £13.95 and the author says it is aimed at children aged 6-1o years, however, my experience tells me that much younger children would also enjoy and benefit from the book.

There are plenty of things to discuss with children giving great communication options, asking childre nto find things in the pictures, colours to talk about and maybe plan their own walk with a parent.

Ilove this book and recommend it to everyone,

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.
