Where the cat led

I was delighted to discover this children’s book that is set at Watermouth castle, where I have visited several times.

Watermouth castle is a tourist attraction in Watermouth cove, North Devon.

This wonderful book is the first to be written by Hazel Stuart. Her daughter Georgie Beable has drawn the colourful illustrations.

The book is full of magic and lovable gnomes.

.

It would make a fantastic bedtime story, or could be enjoyed at any time of day; any children who have been lucky enough to visit Watermouth castle will want to go again hoping to see the gnomes come to life for themselves, it will equally be loved by anyone who hasn’t been to the castle.

Where the cat led retails at £7.99 and is recommended for children aged 4-7 years.

I highly recommend this book to everyone; it would make a great Christmas stocking filler.

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time,

Karen

  1. I love picture books in real places – when we had a 3 year old, we trailed round Paris with the Madeline books matching the pictures with the buildings….and in Sydney, we’ve done the Alexander’s Outing trail round the Botanic Gardens and into the city a few times #ParentPower

  2. Cats do have a habit of disappearing so I think it would be great to follow one around a castle. I live in Devon but have not been to Watermouth #KCACOLS

  3. Beautiful illustrations, and how lovely that they were done by the author’s daughter. Thanks again for sharing at #KidsandKreativity.

    1. Thanks, Kerry, for having me a part of your linky and for stopping by and sharing your thoughts, happy new year
