Back to school tips for parents

It’s hard to believe that children will be going back to school in just a few weeks.

The summer break has flown by.

If you child is anxious about returning to school ( children have spent more time at home this year, than at school, due to the pandemic) talk to her about any concerns, trying to reassure that once she sees her friends again, she will soon get back into the school routine again.

.

I suggest that parents start getting children to have a few early nights at least a week before going back to school so they are not too tired.

And get them eating healthy foods and find snacks that are healthy for when they are back at school.

It may sound obvious but make sure the uniform that was worn last term, still fits, children have a habit of growing like weeds!

Ensure that your children have all the stationary that they need for school.

Getting a new pencil case and equipment to fill it, can be a good incentive for getting children looking forward to starting back to learning.

My biggest tip is to get everything that your children needs for school ready the evening before: there is nothing worse than being late for school because you couldn’t find that essential item.

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.

  1. Getting used to early nights again and getting everything ready the night before are two things on my list. We also make sure we book our shoe fitting appointment for back to school as it makes it much less stressful. #mischiefandmemories
