I was sent the following:

DOWN AT THE DUCKPOND WITH TONTO THE TUFTED DUCK

Tonto is hoping to win the tornament that he took second place in the previous year..

For a while he struggles along in second place; is history going to be repeated?

The rhyming text reveals all!

Every single page has an amazing, vibrant, colourful illustration, adding to the book’s enjoyment.

The book could be used as ‘a tool’ to encourage children not to give up too easily.

Down at the duckpond with Tonto the Tufted duck is written and illustrated bt Edward Giles.

It retails at £8.99

DOWN AT THE DUCKPOND WITH CARLTON THE CANADA GOOSE

;

It started as a usual day for Carlton , until he noticed an unusal object in the water.

Discover more about this in the tale, which again is written in rhyming text, my favourite in children’s literature.

This book also introduces the reader to other species of water foul ; making it educational as well as enjoyable!

Once again the book has some wonderful illustrations and is also written and illustrated by Edward Giles/

;

Down at the duckpond with Carlton the Canada goose retails at £7.99

Both books are recommended for children aged 5-9 years of age, a much wider age range would benefit and enjoy the books if read to by an adult; they would make great additions to bedtime routines, as a story before settling down to sleep.

Disclosure: I was gifted the books for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.

I am recommending both of these books, as they will be enjoyed time and time again, making them good value for money’

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.
