Greta the happy maker celebrates the holidays; children’s book review

February 14, 2024 Karen 2 comments

This is the third book in the Greta the happy maker series of children’s books based on the adventures of a real life pug.

Greta wakes up to be told by her Mama that today is a special day.

Why? Greta thinks, Is it Easter, Greta’s birthday, Valentines day , Christmas or Halloween?

Eventually after running out of guesses, Greta is told that it’s National Pug day.

The book is written by Nicole Stranghetti and the colourful illustrations on every page are by Jonathan Gesinski and Shari Wickstrom.

At the end of the book is a question for children, asking what is their favourite holiday or celebration?

The book, just like the previous books in this series provides lots of opportunities for children to develop communication and language skills.

Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of bhe review, but all opinions are my own.

I love this book because as a former early years practitioner I know that children and their parents and carers will also love it.

Greta the happy maker retails at £24.99 for the hardback copy ( that I was sent) and is recommended for children aged 3- 8 years.

As always questions, comments and topic suggestions are welcome.

Until next time.
