This is a small selection of new children’s picture books from Austin Macauley publications.

JACK’S MAGIC PYJAMAS:

Jack’s parents are surprised when he asks for more brussels sprouts at dinner time, as usually he doesn’t eat them.

Little do they know that Jack’s new pyjamas are magic and have sent him on an adventure.

This lovely 32 page book is written and colourfully illustated by Ian Sugarman.

The book that will be enjoyed time and time again retails at £9.99

I BELIEVE WE CAN FLY;

A book about friendship and learning to believe in yourself.

Bo’s friend, Willow helps him to have faith and learn how to fly.

I believe we can fly is written and beautifuuly illustrated by Chris Dashwood.

The book which could be used as a tool to encourage any children with a low self-esteem also retails for £9.99

AM I DIFFERENT? MAX AND KANGEROOS DYSLEXIC ADVENTURE:

This is my favourite of the books because as a former early years practitioner, I know it would have been invaluable as a recourse for helping children who have special needs, dyslexia , in particular

Jack learns that in spite of being dyslexic he can still achieve anything he wants to do.

The book is written by Karlie Mills and Kate Muldowney has drawn the bright illustrations.

THE SMALL FLUFFY RABBIT AND THE LITTLE BROWN SNAIL’

This book is written in rhyming text and tells the story of why you should always tell the truth.

The book is written by Tracey Chapman and illustrated by Hannah Rose.

THE CATERPILLARAND THE BUTTERFLY:

Another tale of learning to have faith in yourself and your ability.

Written by Michael Rosenblum and illustrated by Polina Poluektova.

Disclosure: I was gifted the books for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.

I highly recommend all of the above books, especially the ones that could help children with special needs.

The books which all retail at £9.99 would be suitable for a wide age range of children making them good value for money.

As always questions, comments and any topic suggestions are very welcome.

Until next time.
