Review of Let’s talk to mummy’s tummy

When I was sent this hardback children’s book to review, I could tell straight away  that I was going to love everything about it. The front cover gives a wonderful  clue as to what is inside.

The book is written in a sensitive way that children will be able to understand; from explaining about the baby scan photograph,to showing how big the baby is growing with the addition of some stickers.

. How the baby is getting food to help him to grow plus why a baby may cry once he has been born.

Towards the end of the book it shows the things that the baby will need and then explains about feeling jealous of a new arrival.

This book is truly wonderful; pregnant women   will find it an asset for explaining to older siblings about  her pregnancy and the excitement of getting a new family member.

Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of the review but all opinions are my own.

Let’s talk to mummy’s tummy is written by Helen Lacey and Carla Moreno has drawn the beautiful, colourful illustrations.

It retails at £11.99  and would be suitable for children of all ages  who are going to be older brothers and sisters, in my opinion.

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.

  1. This sounds like a really useful book. The stickers showing the likely size of the baby each week are great and I’m sure my daughter would have loved them when I was pregnant with her brother. #kcacols

  4. Books like these are a godsend when preparing kids for the arrival of a new brother or sister. I wish I had had something similar when my 2nd child was due.

  5. Awwee!
Such a nice book. 😀 I used something similar for my daughter when I was last pregnant. It is very important to me personally that the book has a very positive view on co-sleeping and safe bed-sharing as well, and breastfeeding was important to me personally, so we have a few nice ones in our collection. 😀
It’s a great way to introduce the smalls to a new member of the family and all the changes that comes with that. 🙂

  9. I remember getting my eldest a book when I was pregnant with my daughter, it really helps them understand what’s going to happen. This looks lovely, I like the fact even the scans are included #KLTR
