The author of this lovely book asked me to review it for her.
The front cover has some vibrant colours enticing the reader to investigate further.

Takumi is a Japanese racoon dog, who loves to eat fish and other tasty morsels found in the river.

One day whilst fishing for food, Takumi discovers some shiny gold coins.

Find out what happens when he becomes greedy and bremoves them all from the river bed.
The book is written by Maya Di Mauro and the colourfull illustrations which cover every page are by Kazuyo Namerikawa,

Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.
I love everything about this book; the moral of not getting too greedy, that the story is about, the delightful illustrations, plus the awareness of different cultures that it brings to readers.
Takumi the Tanuki and the gold coins retails at 312.99 and is aimed at children aged 3-6 years of age;but I am confident that a much larger age range will also enjoy it.
As always questions and comments are welcome.
Until next time.
