he book has a vibrant front cover.

Maya is delighted with her new blue shoes, until she tries to tie the laces.

Inspite of trying numerous times, she just can’t master the skill.
When the family go on holiday her shoes are the first thing to go into Maya’s suitcase.
Arriving at their holiay destination in the woods, the girltakes her shoes out to the balcony to practise tying the laces. She is excited to see several hares in the grass.

To Maya’s astonishment these animals start to twist their ears and the cross them over: After watching them for a while, she suddenly realises that they are actually showing her what to do with the shoe laces and for the first time she does it and proudly goes inside to show her family what she has done.

Disclosure: I was gifted the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.
I love this delightful book because of the sweet story it tells so am therefore recommending it to everyone, I t would make a wonderful bedtime story, but will equally be enjoyed at other times too.
The tale could actually even help children to learn to tie their own shoe laces, by following the pictures of the hare’s crossing their ears!
The hare bow is written by Susan M itchell and the colourful illustrations on every page are by Wendy Mitchell.

It retails at £7.99n and is aimed at children aged5-8 years ( although I feel that a larger age range would enjoy it).
