Zara dogdog in the sun

This is the second Zara dogdog book that I have reviewed the first one is Zara dogdog on the school run here

This book has a bright, sunny front cover.

Zara dogdog loves to have fun with her family, but she must be kept safe in the warm sunshine; the book explains to children ( and adults) how to do this.

As a dog lover myself I am obsessed with this series of children’s books.

Throughout the book there are beautiful illustrations by Siobhan Barlow.

Anna Crichton tells the tale of how Zara dogdog is kept safe and happy in the sun.

Children will love sharing this book with an adult, while pointing out familar things shown in the illustrations.

I could have made great use of these books when I was working as a registered child minder as one little boy in my care had a fear of larger dogs ( I feel sure reading the books would have helped him).

Disclosure: I was sent the book for the purpose of the review, but all opinions are my own.

I highly recommend this book to parents, grandparents and carers. Children everywhere will love it, regardless of whether they have their own dog, or not, I bet a few who haven’t got a dog will be wanting one after reading this book!

Zara dogdog in the sun is published by Brox booksLtd.

It is aimed at children aged 3 years plus and retails at£7.99

As always questions and comments are welcome.

Until next time.

  1. Great book! Really important points about keeping dogs safe in the Summer, great to teach kids about responsible pet care from a young age. Thanks for sharing at #KidsandKreativity, hope to see you back next time.
